2005 Class Schedule
Classes
are held at Brentwood EMS located at 3624 Brownsville Road. Classes
not listed on the above schedule are offered upon request.
Heartsaver
CPR (adult) – This three-hour course is designed for the
lay rescuer who requires a credential documenting successful completion
of a written and skills performance.
It teaches CPR and relief of FBAO for adults. Includes
instruction on barrier devices, instruction on the causes and prevention
of injuries and cardiopulmonary arrest. Heartsaver
CPR (Peds) - This three-hour course is designed for the lay
rescuer who requires a credential documenting successful completion of a
written and skills performance. It
teaches CPR and relief of FBAO for infants and children. Includes
instruction on barrier devices, instruction on the causes and prevention
of injuries and cardiopulmonary arrest. Heartsaver
CPR (both) - This six-hour course is designed for the lay
rescuer who requires a credential documenting successful completion of a
written and skills performance. It
teaches CPR and relief of FBAO for adults and infant/child. Includes
instruction on barrier devices, instruction on the causes and prevention
of injuries and cardiopulmonary arrest. HCP
CPR – This 6-8 hour course if designed for healthcare
providers and others in the field who require documentation of
successful completion of a written and skills performance. It is designed for those who respond to cardiac and
respiratory emergencies. The
course includes adult and pediatric CPR, FBAO and two-rescuer CPR and
barrier devices. Heartsaver
AED - This four-hour course teaches one rescuer CPR for the
adult victim, rescue breathing, obstructed airway, barrier devices and
AED. There is a written
examination and skills evaluation at the conclusion of the course. CPR
Friends & Family - This 2-4 hour course is designed for
the general public. It
offers instruction in one rescuer CPR adult and/or child and infant CPR. Basic
First Aid - This four-hour course teaches first aid skills
such as splinting techniques, bleeding control, burn treatment, sudden
illness and injury. The
recommended renewal is three years. |
